BEFORE STARTING ANY HOME CARE FACIAL TREATMENT YOU MUST FIRST
WASH YOUR HANDS AND CLEANSE YOUR SKIN.

STEAMING THE SKIN

Recommended for all skin types, once a week with a gentle exfoliation
(Not recommended for couperose skin).

• Bring a medium sized pot of preferably filtered water to a boil.

• Normal / sensitive skin: add a sprig of rosemary or 1/4 teaspoon lavender oil.
• Dry skin: add 2 bags of chamomile tea
• For acne skin or oily with breakouts: add 2 sprigs of thyme and
  1 tablespoon liquid golden seal and echinacea blend to help boost
   the steams antibacterial effects.

• Remove from the heat, cover the pot and let it steep for 5 minutes.
• Remove the lid to let the first steam escape so you don't burn yourself.
• Drape a large towel over your head and carefully place your face over the pot,
   so the towel traps the steam. Make sure you are far enough away so the steam
   doesn't burn, but close enough so it feels warm and soothing.
• Steam for a couple of minutes, then pull away from the pot for a few minutes
   then repeat until water becomes luke warm.
• Pat dry.

EXFOLIATION

• Use with caution over open acne pustules, but suitable for all skin types
   and conditions.

• In a small saucer add 1/4 tsp maple syrup or liquid honey, 1/4 tsp brown sugar,
  1/4 tsp olive oil, blend together with 2 fingers.
• Gently massage all over the face, 1/4 inch from eye, include neck and
   under the jaw area.
• Splash off with warm water and clean washcloth

SOOTHING FACIAL MASKS

Apply one of the following masks and leave on for 20 minutes.
Rinse thoroughly with cool water.

NORMAL SKIN - WHEAT GERM MASK
Refines pores and softens skin.

• 3 tablespoons wheat germ
• 2 tablespoons warm water
• In small bowl, allow for water to absorb the wheat germ. Apply to face and neck.


DRY SKIN (Lacking oils) - AVOCADO & HONEY MASK
Brightens and radiates the skin.

• 1/2 avocado, peeled, pitted and mashed
• 1 tablespoon honey
• Dash lemon
• 1 teaspoon cold pressed oil
• Scoop out in small amounts and smear it all over the face.

DRY SKIN (Lacking moisture)- OATMEAL & HONEY MASK
Rehydrates, softens and moisturizers the skin.
                  
• 1/2 cup plain old-fashioned oatmeal
• 1/2 cup filtered warm water
• 1/4 cup raw organic honey
• Allow the oatmeal to absorb the water, add the honey and mix well.
   Leave 20-30 minutes.

OILY SKIN- OATMEAL EGG WHITE MASK
Removes excess oils, helps tighten and refine pores.

• 3 tablespoons oatmeal
• 1 egg white
• Dash lemon (optional)

SENSITIVE / IRRITATED / ROSACEA  SKIN - ALOE & CUCUMBER MASK
Soothes and hydrates irritated skin.

• 1/2 cup aloe juice
• 1/2 chopped cucumber
• Puree in blender and apply all over or to affected areas.

COMBINATION SKIN

• Use the masks formulated for oily and dry skins and treat each area separately
  or any of the above masks will work wonderfully on combination skin. 

FINISH WITH AN APPROPRIATE MOISTURIZER FOR YOUR SKIN TYPE.
